About NSDC

Established in 2008 as a Public-Private Partnership, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), was created to strengthen India’s skilling ecosystem by bridging talent with opportunity. 
At the heart of NSDC is a simple belief that skills do more than just prepare people for work. They build confidence, inspire ambition and unlock the potential to achieve more. Every skill acquired opens a new possibility. Every opportunity realised transforms not just an individual, but families, businesses, communities and, ultimately, the nation.

Emerging Talent from Western States Showcases Excellence at IndiaSkills West Regional Competition 2025–26

The IndiaSkills Regional Competition 2025-26 for the western states concluded at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, marking a successful celebration of talent, technical excellence, and regional pride. Organised under the IndiaSkills initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and supported by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), knowledge partner and implementation partner for IndiaSkills Competition 2025–26, the competition brought together more than 300+ skilled youth from five western states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Goa, competing across 63 skill categories aligned with national and global industry standards.

NSDC, IIT Mandi, and NCU Gurugram collaborate to offer a B.Tech course in semiconductor design and Technology

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IIT Mandi and the NorthCap University (NCU), Gurugram have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch a B.Tech. ECE in Semiconductor Design and Technology programme. The agreement was formally signed today at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is setting up a state-of-the-art Centre for Future Skills, under NSDC Academy, at Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut to empower youth in new technology courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Healthcare/Paramedical, and Languages. In addition to this, the Sports Physical Education Fitness and Leisure Skills Council (SPEFL-SC) is also establishing a Manufacturing-cum-Training facility at CCSU, funded through CSR initiatives.
