The Innovation & Engagement practice within NSDC has two key focus areas. The Innovation unit is focused on supporting high impact and innovative solutions that can disrupt the skilling ecosystem and/or enhance outcomes manifold, preferably in sectors and regions with unmet needs. The Engagement unit works with both internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the skills ecosystem, thus contributing to the larger NSDC mission.
Innovation
In the effort to meet the incremental demands in vocational skills, evaluate past efforts and generate new ideas, NSDC looks at innovations that can particularly add value and address various challenges in the skill development ecosystem.
Based on our experience in the Indian skill development space, through our network of Training Partners and Sector Skill Councils, we have developed an Innovation Framework with 5 key categories and 18 sub-categories. We will continue to evaluate and adjust our framework to include innovations that fall beyond this framework.
