India is one of the youngest nations in the world with nearly 65% of its population in the working age group of 15-64 years and more than 54% of its total population below 25 years of age. To reap this demographic dividend, India needs to equip its workforce with employable skills and knowledge so that they can contribute substantively to the economic growth of the country.
Poised to become the world’s youngest country by 2020, with an average age of 29 years, India will account for around 28% of the world’s workforce. The country is also blessed with magnificent and diverse cultures and languages, making it inherently distinctive. The enthusiastic and skill-trained workforce will contribute towards making India a leading provider of talent.

What is Technical Intern Training Program (TITP)?

The program promotes international collaboration through the transfer of skills, technology, and knowledge among the participating countries thereby, contributing towards the human resource development. It offers training to the workers for a specific period (3 – 5 years) in Japan’s industrial society.

Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India and the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation initiating the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) in India in October 2017.

NSDC: Implementing & Monitoring TITP

MSDE has established its institutional framework for TITP implementation and has appointed National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to be the Implementing and Monitoring Agency for the program.

NSDC is steering impactful execution of the program in India and Japan. It has empanelled over 20 Sending Organisations to drive the desired agenda of training the youth, who will advance their careers and contribute towards economic progress of the respective countries.

Sending Organisations
To ensure effective implementation and meet the objectives of the program, NSDC has empanelled a diverse pool of competent Sending Organisations for mobilizing and sending skilled Indian youth to Japan.

  • What is a Sending Organization

    Eligible and competent youth, who are willing to upgrade their technical skillset through TITP in Japan, would be enrolled and imparted training in India by the Sending Organization. The Sending Organizations would be entrusted with the responsibility of enrolling, training and sending the eligible candidates for pursing Technical Intern Training in Japan.

  • Become a Sending Organisation

    NSDC will keep initiating process to identify and onboard credible and competent Organisations from time to time. Organisations interested to become Sending Organization will have to participate in the process as informed by NSDC from time to time and meet requisite conditions. Further, interested organisations will have to meet the approving standards as given in the link below.

Skilling Indian Youth for Overseas Internship
TITP intends to facilitate empowering of Indian youth by providing them with skill development and career advancement opportunities in Japan. It will further help them to contribute towards economic development of India with specialised technical skills gained from training in Japanese industries.
